  Why The Smoky Mountains During Fall?
  
  Living in Florida we don't get any autumn color change, therefore I've been spending sometime scouting exciting areas within the park to help create stunning images.

  The Great Smoky Mountains is without a question a place like no other. So many compositions can be created within few miles. The main attraction is of course, autumn colors. 2011 was my 3rd year visiting the mountains and I can't get enough of them. So much beauty yet so challenging.

This Affordable field and classroom instructional workshop will be conducted during early morning and late afternoon on each day and is scheduled to be during the best time to visit the mountains.

What about the weather?

During the month of October, temperatures can vary from the low 30's to high 70's. Dress warm and in layers. Bring your warm gloves, hat and hot drinks. Contact me if you have any questions.

What about equipment?

Equipment suggested list is as follow:

• One or two DSLR’s
• Wide angle lens
• Mid zoom lens (Panorama sessions)
• Long lens (300mm or longer - Sunset)
• Tripod
• Ball head
• Plenty of cards
• Extra batteries
• Cable release
• Flash Light

• Short and wide angle lens composition techniques
• How to create amazing panoramas
• Blurs
• Subject isolation
• Manual Exposure
• How to create silhouettes
• Analyzing and learning how to read your histogram

• What works & what doesn't work
• How to manage your focusing system to work for you!
• Digital workflow
• This workshop also includes image critiques by me and a Photoshop “HOW TO” class. I will be using a digital projector for everyone to see and learn from.

Are we going to be walking a lot?

Absolutely NOT. Most locations will be near our vehicles. A short hike may be required but not far at all.

Car pooling is highly recommended.

• Workshop Tuition and Registration:
  

• $699 per person. 3 FULL days of extensive shooting, learning, image critiques AND Photoshop class.
  
  
• Maximum of 5 participants (best learning experience). Spouses/significant others are welcome to tag along at their own expense.
  
  
• $499 deposit (non-refundable unless you find a person to fill your spot).
  
  
• Deposit should be paid the day you register. Remaining $200 should be pay in full by September 15th, 2012
  
  
• Each participant is responsible for their own transportation, food, hotel and air fare.
  
  
• Please note that you are welcome to car pool with me if you help with the car rental cost and gas money. Offer available to TWO participants only. We’ll have plenty of room to carry everything we need during the workshop. Not to mention you can pick my brain <smile>
