April was a extremely busy month for me and everything started with Gatorland's Workshop which was full of opportunities. Plenty of subjects to photograph and to take advantage of including a classic American Alligator feeding behavior you see above.

I can't wait to comeback to Gatorland in 2014 as every time I go there, I bring home something new home. Thank you to all participants!

Spoonbills & More Workshop Participants, (Thank You Bob) - © All Rights Reserved

My second Spoonbills & More workshop was extremely frustrating. Cloudy weather and strong winds made our opportunities shy. However, everyone had a good spirit staying positive and hopeful.

Day two was glorious with such amazing light and tons of opportunities. We had hundreds of Spoonbills around, White Pelicans, White Ibis, Reddish Egret, Tricolored Herons and Ospreys to mention a few. We really had a great time and I'm thankful for having such amazing group!

I've been experimenting more and more stacking tele-converters as I find the final image actually quite acceptable. It's not easy and requires a good subject and lots of patience. Perhaps you can try too??

The much anticipated firmware of the spring is now available for download. I'm currently testing the 5D MKIII f/8 AF capabilities and will make sure to share my findings with you all in a short while.

Thanks!

If you are currently using ViewNX and Capture NX, you can now download the latest version.

I'm sure you are well aware that Adobe Photoshop CS series as you know will get replaced with Adobe Photoshop CC. This new form of Photoshop REQUIRES you to pay a monthly fee (depending on how many Adobe software you use) in order to continue enjoying Photoshop.

The move have created an EXPLOSION of unhappy photographers, web designers and graphic artist ALL OVER THE WORLD and everyone is sharing their dissatisfaction with the company via Facebook and other on-line venues.

YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO OWN PHOTOSHOP. You'll RENT IT. If you don't pay (or forget to pay) your software will be deactivated on-line leaving you dead in the water until you pay again.

Everything you need to know including the new monthly fee can be found HERE. I'm certainly not happy about this.

Hope everyone is having a great spring!!

Thanks!
