What a way to end the Spoonbills & More Workshop season. We had some incredible opportunities up-close and personal with these beautiful birds. Most workshop participants were able to achieve good results from each workshop.

Panning plays a huge roll photographing birds in flight. Remember to always stay ahead of your subject. Bump your focusing system and avoid busy and distracting backgrounds. Always shoot in Manual mode, this will help you keep a consistent exposure. Learn how to follow your histogram and keep an eye to the highlights. Level your tripod and allow your expense head (Wimberley) to do its job by allowing an easy and smooth panning.

Overall, the workshops were a total success and I'm very happy to be part of this wonderful experience. My 2013 workshops will be announced soon. Register before they get sold out!

Thank you all for participating. I hope to see you again in 2013!

As you know, digital photography has come a long way. Amazing cameras are being developed but that's not where it ends. You need a good system (PC or MAC) to be able to handle huge amount of data.

Above you will find my recent system upgrade. USB3 has become my new friend speeding the download times tremendously. If you are like me that creates a large amount of images, perhaps you may want to consider upgrading as well.

That's all I have for this newsletter!

Thank you all!
