Greetings friends,

What a season we had with this beautiful specie. My efforts last summer paid off nicely setting up new perches and selecting new locations for the workshop. The owls cooperated with our group allowing us to create amazing images up-close and personal but I wanted more... I decided to attach two - 1.4x III tele-converters to my 800mm lens to get an extreme close-up of the owl's face using the 1D MKIV mounted on a tripod with Live View enable and using manual focus. Not bad for such extreme magnification!

I've started scouting new areas for 2013, I sure hope my efforts will pay off once again!!

I keep sharing more and more Infrared images on Facebook with my nearly 2,200 friends now. So I decided to share the fun and images with you folks as well. This has been a great experience for me, learning new techniques and thinking outside the box from what I would normally never point my lens to.

Let me introduce you to my Infrared Gallery. 25 images created all around the state of Florida and Maine. I'll be sharing more images as time allows in my future newsletter. I hope you enjoy the gallery.
